PSS surcharge from Northern Europe to USA, Canada & Mexico

With effect of shipped on board date March 1st, 2025, some carriers announced to implement a Peak Season Surcharge for all shipments moving from Northern Europe to USA, Canada and Mexico.
At this stage, quantum differs per each carrier. Example PSS amounts received are set at Usd 900.- / 1000.- per 20’ft / 40’ft (HC) dry container and Usd 1350.- / 1500.- per 20’ft RF / 40’ft RF

Since it’s not yet clear why carriers are planning to implement this surcharge, we are still negotiating with these carriers and share outcome of our negotiations within soon.
