Possible delays due to imminent Red Sea situation
Following attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on commercial vessels, several shipping companies have now announced that they will not sail through the Red Sea until further notice. The Red Sea is the access route to the Suez Canal, making it an essential link between Asia/India sub/Middle East and Europe, among others.
The alternative for shipping companies is a route around the African continent, this route has a longer transit time of at least a week. As Merzario, we understand the potential impact this may have on your logistics chain. Therefore, we are constantly monitoring the situation and accurately collecting all available information on changes in services, arrivals and transit times. We expected to share more information in the coming days.
