Job Description:
As a Forwarder for Ocean Freight at Merzario, you’ll be the main contact for clients, ensuring top-notch logistics solutions and meeting commitments.
You’ll coordinate with customers, shipping lines, colleagues, global agents, and departments, using computer systems like Office and Outlook365, with CargoWise One familiarity preferred.
Proficiency in German and English, both verbal and written, is crucial for daily communication.
Requirements:
▪ Experience in logistics operations preferred;
▪ Service-oriented, solution-focused, and positive work attitude;
▪ Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
▪ Commercial acumen with a deep understanding of customer needs;
▪ Ability to work autonomously and remain composed under pressure;
▪ Strong prioritization and time management skills;
▪ Methodical, precise, and able to work independently;
▪ Demonstrated commitment, drive, and self-criticism;
▪ Familiarity with CargoWise One system is a plus.
Responsibilities:
▪ Maintain bookings in the CargoWise system and ensure the provision of complete and accurate documentation to internal departments
▪ Resolve issues and oversee irregularities to ensure the quality of shipments and service to customers
▪ Handle administrative tasks related to shipments and associated documentation
▪ Monitor the progress of shipments and provide updates to assigned relationships
