New LNG terminals in Germany
In view of the increasingly uncertain Russian gas delivery, the government is pushing ahead with the import of liquid gas.
4 new LNG Terminals in Wilhemshaven, Brunsbuttel, Stade and Lubmin should arise.
The first LNG Terminal in Wilhelmshaven has started on 4th of July with the building process.
LNG is a new chance for Germany because of the worldwide transport possibilities and it enables the trading with international partners, which are too far away from Germany to use gas pipelines.
With the composition of the own LNG structure, Germany raised his reference source and ensures the high level of gas supply.
According to the responsible ministry, the four LNG Terminals by to date, each have a capacity of at least five billion cubic meters per year.
