Chinese New Year (CNY) – January 22, 2023 – Year of the Rabbit

As of January 22nd, Chinese New Year will take place, a celebration that will be celebrated for 15 days. Chinese New Year announces the beginning of spring and is therefore called ‘Spring Festival’. Celebration of New Year is a tribute to family – the living and the dead – and the rich historical traditions.
This period is also a time for visiting family and thus many offices are closed. Therefore, in the days prior the Chinese New Year, there is a real population migration in China. Millions of people will be traveling to their native village to celebrate the New Year. On New Year’s Day, people visit friends and acquaintances to wish each other the best for the new year. It is a great party, not only at home with the family, but also on the streets.

This year is the Year of the Rabbit. In China, the Rabbit is known as “the tame animal who personifies hope and longevity”. Merzario wishes all business partners, associates and colleagues a happy and prosperous year of the Rabbit!
